C'è un albero per ogni persona che ha scelto il bene.
Gariwo, acronimo di Gardens of the Righteous Worldwide, è una ONLUS con sede a Milano e collaborazioni internazionali. Dal 1999 lavora per far conoscere i Giusti di tutto il mondo e di tutte le cause: persone che hanno agito con responsabilità e umanità, quando e dove si sono trovati a dover scegliere tra l'indifferenza e la solidarietà.

Il Giardino dei Giusti di Milano è nato nel 2003 presso il Parco del Monte Stella, dove ogni anno nuovi alberi sono piantati per ricordare e celebrare - e imitare, magari! - i Giusti del nostro tempo, in occasione del 6 marzo. A partire dal 2012, infatti, accogliendo un appello degli Ambasciatori di Gariwo, e in particolare di Gabriele Nissim, il Parlamento Europeo ha stabilito per il 6 marzo la Giornata dei Giusti. https://bit.ly/GiornataGiusti
Ci siamo incontrati qui, dove le nostre acque Schiuse si incontrano con la grande Foresta dei Giusti.
Perché, se è vero che "fa più rumore un albero che cade di una foresta che cresce", Gariwo è la dimostrazione che il Bene non è mai declinato al singolare: non un albero da solo, ma un'intera foresta! Non cade, ma germoglia. Come la vita, come la speranza, come la solidarietà.

Gariwo, acronym of Garden of the Righteous Worldwide, is a charitable association based in Milan, with various international collaborations. The Garden of the Righteous in Milan opened in 2003 in Monte Stella Park, where every year new trees are planted to commemorate and celebrate – and, hopefully, imitate! – the Righteous people of our time, the 6th of March.
Since 2012, after a request from Gariwo’s ambassadors lead by Gabriele Nissim, the European Parliament established the 6th of March to be Righteous Day.
We met here, where our Unclosed waters meet the great Righteous Forest.
Because, if it’s true that “a falling tree is louder than a growing forest”, Gariwo is proof that Good is never an individual concept: not one lone tree, but an entire forest! It doesn’t fall down, it blossoms. Like life, like hope, like solidarity.
